WILLIAMSON, John A. - 81, of Buzzards Bay, died Saturday April 15, 2017. Born in Boston on March 2, 1936 he was the son of the late Archibald and Anne (McKeown) Williamson and brother of the late William Williamson.
Mr. Williamson resided in Buzzards Bay, Venice, FL and had been a longtime resident of Roslindale. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Boston Lodge of Elks #10.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Helen E. (Crowley) Williamson; his daughter Diane Butler and her husband Joseph of West Roxbury; his 4 sons John and his wife Barbara of West Roxbury, Kenneth and his wife Lorraine of Mansfield, James and his wife Elizabeth of Roslindale, and Eric of Buzzard’s Bay; his 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Thursday, Apr. 20 from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home Friday, Apr. 21 at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, West Roxbury at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
