Joseph A. Carrabino, age 77, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully at the Aberjona Nursing Center of Winchester. Born and raised in East Boston he was the son of the late Angelo and Angelina (Puleo) Carrabino.

He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era and after his discharge earned an engineering degree from Northeastern University. He embarked on a long career with Delta Air Lines as an engineer, until his retirement.


The beloved husband of Teresa Grasso Carrabino, he was a devoted father of Christina Carrabino-Olvey and her husband Neil of Georgia, Carlene Carrabino-Vital of Tennessee. He was the dear brother of Marie C. LoConzolo of Revere and devoted step-father of Donnie Grasso and his wife Cyndi of Tennessee. He leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Tess, Levi, Colton, Cayden, Andrew, Olivia and Sophia. He was predeceased by his sister Catherine Gaeta.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Thursday, April 20th at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 10 through 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
