Obituary

Louise (Gormley) Gandolfi 92, formerly of Natick, died on Tuesday April 11, 2017 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni Gandolfi, of Parma Italy, who died in 2004. A Natick resident for 58 years she was born in Everett, Massachusetts in 1924, the daughter of the late James and Louise (Dillon) Gormley. She worked as an electrical draftsman for Submarine Signal Co. of Boston during World War II and Thompson Engineering Co. of Boston in later years.

Interested in both writing and poetry, she was a member of the Boston Manuscript Club and Longfellow Poetry Society. She traveled extensively in Europe, but mainly to her husband’s home in Italy and resided in the winter in New Smyrna Beach, Florida for many years.

She leaves a daughter-in-law, Denise Daniels Gandolfi of New Smyrna Beach, and a granddaughter, Danielle Sandhagen and husband Greg, also of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and great grandson Gavin. Her son Joseph Gandolfi passed away in 2016.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday April 21 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick's Church at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Vitas Healthcare of New Smyrna Beach, FL.
