Obituary

Jonathan Bagg passed away peacefully April 9, 2017 with family by his side. Born in Holyoke, MA to parents Elisabeth Lyon Bagg, and Henry Sears Bagg, both of Holyoke, MA. Jonathan was a graduate of Berwick Academy and Western New England College. He also spent four years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany. Jonathan was preceded in death by both parents as well as his sister, Elisabeth Bagg Clifford.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lois Houghton; His daughter Maura Fernandez and Son-in-Law Salvador, Grandkids Ava and Joaquin, Son Jonathan Bagg Jr. and wife Jennifer, Grandkids Elisabeth and Robyn, Son Christopher Bagg and wife Beth, Grandkids Olivia and Madelyn, Son Timothy Bagg, and Sisters Marnie Dassler and Susan Nolder.
Jonathan was an avid boater and fisher. You could often find him fishing in some of his favorite spots; Newfound Lake on his dingy in his early years, and the St. Lawrence River on his Lyman later in life. Jonathan was part of the Lyman Boat Owner Association and loved his old wooden boat. Jonathan also loved to stay active hiking in the Berkshire Hills or skiing them in the winter and enjoying life after "retirement" working full time at Home Depot with some of his best buddies. Jonathan would often say that his job at Home Depot allowed him to meet great people and get his steps in during the day. He really loved being on the move.
Jonathan’s favorite past times were going to concerts, donating blood at Dana Farber and hanging out with his grandchildren Ava and Joaquin. On any given day, you could find Jonathan teaching Ava how to do back flips in the water or helping Joaquin build houses with his Lincoln Logs.
Jonathan will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
A memorial will be held in honor of his life at his favorite restaurant in Cohasset, MA.
