DENNEHY, Robert T. Of Dedham, age 95 passed away on April 1, 2017 at home surrounded by family and dedicated hospice caretakers. Beloved husband of the late Muriel (Eisnor) Dennehy who also passed away this week. Devoted father of Martin J. Dennehy and his wife Patricia A. of Dedham, Kathleen M. Dennehy-Fay and her husband John J. of Wrentham. Grandfather of Caitlin Joyce and her husband Shawn of Walpole and Meghan Dennehy of Dedham. Great-grandfather of Molly and Abigail Joyce of Walpole.
He was born in Arlington, MA to the late Frank and Anne (Keith) Dennehy. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward and Frank. He graduated from Rindge Technical School and attended Harvard College. He served in the Army at Normandy in World War II and again in the Korean War. Retired Superintendent of the Belmont Post Office. He was an active communicant of St Mary Church for many years.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, DEDHAM, Wednesday, April 12 at noon followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, Dedham at 1 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home Tuesday April 11 from 4-7 pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
