SHREWSBURY
Kathleen M. Carraher, 80, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Syracuse, NY the daughter of Harry and Genevieve (During) Callahan, she lived in Hudson, MA and Peoria, AZ before moving to Shrewsbury in 2013.
Her husband, Donald Carraher passed away in June 2016. She leaves her children, Gerard Carraher of Holliston, Michele Fuller of Hudson, and Michael Carraher of Marlborough; her brother, Timothy Callahan of East Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
What gave Kathy the most joy was guiding her family to be a good family and she extended those same values to her children’s friends, all of whom considered her their second “Mom”.
Kathy was a member of St. Michael’s Church and was a Sergeant at Arms for the Northborough American Legion Auxiliary Unit 234.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. A private committal service will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
