BARBARA ELIZABETH FLY MOORE
Barbara Elizabeth Fly Moore, 89, died January 9 in Portland, Oregon. A native Water Vallian, Barbara was the daughter of the late Audley Claire Kennedy and Earl K. Fly. She was a graduate of Water Valley schools and the University of Mississippi. For many years, Barbara lived in New Orleans where she raised her sons, Mark and Kirk. In addition to Mark and Kirk, Barbara is survived by Mark’s wife Angie, their daughters Catherine Elizabeth and Lucy, and their respective husbands Robert Haydock and Michael Hashizume, all of Portland. She is also survived by her sister Camille Fly Dautrich and husband Barry of Branson, Missouri. Barbara was a great mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister. She loved animals, reading and movies. While she knew a lot about many things, she was in particular a walking encyclopedia of movie facts. Having inherited her daddy’s sense of humor, Barbara was funny, and her granddaughters in particular enjoyed her wit. A graveside service will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery on Saturday, April 15, at 10 a.m., where Barbara will be interred alongside her parents. | ||||
