NORTON, Paul Tarcisius, 79, of West Roxbury and Harwich Port, April 3, 2017. Son of the late Lawrence H. and Jane M. (Crossen) Norton. He led a full and happy life. He leaves his beautiful wife Barbara (O’Hara) of more than 54 years and his extensive family. He was born in Jamaica Plain as the tenth of eleven Norton children. He is predeceased by eight of his siblings, Lawrence, Alice, Mary, Jack, Jane, Virginia, Bob and Loretta. He is survived by two brothers, Tom of Norwood and Vincent of Quincy. He is also survived by his four children, Paul Norton and his wife Paula of Westwood, Robert Norton and his wife Kathryn of Nantucket, David Norton and his wife Pamela of New Canaan, CT and Kate Norton and her partner Kari of Pasadena CA. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Marykate, Lauren, John, Jack, Timothy, Michael, Kathryn, James and Maeve. He also leaves many loving relatives and close friends. Paul grew up in Roslindale and moved to West Roxbury when he married Barbara. Paul was a Navy veteran of the Korean War era and proudly served aboard the heavy cruiser USS Macon. He was a graduate of Boston College where he was a member of the Honors Program. He also earned an MBA at Babson College. He was a proud Mass. CPA for over fifty years and served as the President of the Mass State Society of CPA’s. In 1992 he was given the Professional Service award for his outstanding contribution to the Society. In addition, he also served on the Board of the Faulkner Hospital and the Finance Council of St. Theresa Parish form many years. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Thursday, April 6th at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
