Obituary

Virginia Mae Stansfield, a resident of North Andover, formerly of Methuen, passed away at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover on Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2017. She was 76 years old.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on May 16, 1940, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Vera V. (DeFelice) Stansfield. Ms. Stansfield was employed for more than 25 years by the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed writing, reading and photography. She also had a very strong catholic faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving siblings; Carol Ann Daley of Salem, New Hampshire, Mary Jane and her husband Robert McCaulley of Grand Junction, Colorado and Arthur R. and his wife Annie Stansfield of Andover, sister-in-law; Louise Stansfield of Grand Junction, Colorado and many nieces and nephews. She was also the the sister of the late Ernest “Jake” Stansfield.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 2 to 5 PM. Interment will be held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. Virginia's family would like to sincerely thank the 2nd floor staff at Sutton Hill Nursing Center for their wonderful care shown to her. Please do not send flowers.
