HENNESSEY, Alice G. (Moloney) At age 84, of the South End and Hull, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Loving wife of William F. Hennessey with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Billy Hennessey and his wife Liz of Milford, Sean Hennessey and his partner Loc Duong of the South End, Mara Hennessey and her husband David Johansen of New York City, Paula Hennessey and her partner Liliane Dusewoir of Cambridge, Katie Hennessey and her husband Brook Batteau of Shelburne Falls, granddaughters Leah Hennessey of New York City and Alouette Batteau of Shelburne Falls, and many nieces and nephews. Alice was the former staff director of the Boston City Council and a longtime aide to Mayor Thomas M. Menino. Visiting hours Tuesday, April 4 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118. Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private.
