SMEATON - Greta W. Smeaton, 99, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her Amelia Island residence.
She was a native of Quincy, MA, and moved to Amelia Island, FL 15 years ago from Lakeland, FL.
Mrs. Smeaton loved music, especially jazz, and enjoyed going to functions at the Council on Aging three times a week.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Douglas D. Smeaton, who passed away in 2006.
Survivors include sons, Robert W. Smeaton, of Amelia Island, FL and Anurag Shantam of Saco, ME; a daughter, Linda Smeaton, and her husband, Janat Anwer, of Falmouth, ME; two grandchildren, Sherry Cruz of Virginia, and Mark Smeaton and his wife, Nancy of New Hampshire; two great grandchildren, Jeremy Cruz and Nicole Smeaton; and a great-great grandchild, Alastair Cruz.
