Mr. Michael James Kelly, a resident of Sandown, New Hampshire, formerly of Medford and Cambridge and beloved husband of Barbara J. (Finn) Kelly, passed away suddenly at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire on Sunday evening, March 19, 2017. He was 60 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on October 12, 1956, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph L. and Frances M. (Parcella) Kelly. Mr. Kelly was a graduate of Cambridge High School and had been employed by the town of Burlington as Lead Foreman for the Parks and Recreation Department for 32 years. In his spare time Mike enjoyed watching all of the Boston Sports teams. A mechanic at heart, he could fix anything. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Barbara, Mike was the father/grandfather figure to Jesse W. Finn of Worcester, Diana J. Finn of Sandown, New Hampshire, Samantha B. Finn of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Amanda L. Finn of Sandown, New Hampshire and Alexis, Jayson and Jesse J. Finn and Robert Parrish all of Sandown, New Hampshire and Amaya Finn of Worcester. He was also the brother of John F. and his wife Peggy Kelly of Medford, godfather and uncle of Danny J. Kelly of Medford, uncle of Keri Attanasio of Everett and Amy Fernandes of Medford. Mike is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Kelly.
His funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Friday, March 24, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM.
