Barbara Pilkington, 82, of Johnston passed away peacefully Friday, March 17th, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Pilkington. They had been married for 37 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Morgero) Cucca. She had lived in Johnston all of her life.
She was the beloved mother of Raymond F. Pilkington, Jr and his wife Lynn of Inverness, FL, Robert J. Pilkington and his wife Lisa of Johnston, Michael J. Pilkington of Johnston, David C. Pilkington and his wife Korrine of Johnston, Frederick Pilkington II and his wife Heather of North Providence, Kim R. Buckley and her husband Thomas of Johnston, Gail Pilkington of Johnston, Barbara Ann Pilkington of Johnston, Susan M. Schiavonne of Johnston and Nancy J. DeQuattro of Johnston. She was the grandmother to 13 and great-grandmother to 3. She was the mother of the late Steven F. Pilkington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7 pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
