Armand J. Paille, Jr., age 77, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 3, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Sandra J. (Emond) Paille, to whom he was wed on January 6, 1967.

Born in Attleboro, MA on August 9, 1939, he was a loving son of the late Armand J., Sr. and Doris A. (Bellavance) Paille.

Armand was educated in Norton schools and attended Monsignor Coyle High School in Taunton. From 1956-1960, he proudly served as a member of the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged with the rank of Gunners Mate Third Class.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Paille had worked for ten years as a machinist at New England Precision Grinding in Holliston and had previous been previously employed at Cleveland Twist Drill in Mansfield.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, Armand’s favorite times were those spent in the company of his adoring family. He enjoyed listening to old time radio shows, and when younger was active in model railroading.

In addition to his beloved wife of fifty-years, he is survived by his devoted children David A. Paille of Norton, Micheal J. Paille of Manteca, CA and Melissa A. Paille of Norton. He was the dear brother of Janice Burkhart of Norton, and is also survived by his cherished eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial with military honors will follow at St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 7th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

In place of flowers, Armand’s family would prefer that donations in his memory be made to the Community Visiting Nurse Agency, 10 Emory St., Attleboro, MA 02703.
