CHICOPEE – Francis D. LeBlanc, 78, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He entered into Eternal Rest at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in South Hadley on October 4, 1938, a beloved son of the late Armand P. and Stella I. (Rousseau) LeBlanc. He was raised in South Hadley, attended Blessed Sacrament School in Holyoke, had lived in South Hadley for many years and moved to Fairview in 1984 where he lived the remainder of his life. He served his country during peacetime in the United States Navy and attained the rank of Airman. He had worked for Graham’s Medical Supplies in South Hadley for 17 years and retired as the shipping and receiving supervisor. He had also worked as a machine operator at James River Graphics and worked part-time for over 40 years at the Big Y Supermarket, both in South Hadley. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and visiting the casinos. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Nancy E. (Kreuzer) Leone-LeBlanc. They were longtime companions and were married on April 23, 2016 at the Second Baptist Church in South Hadley. They were blessed with many wonderful years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving daughter, Margaret A. LeBlanc of South Hadley; his three loving step-children, Lezlie Densmore and her husband, William, of Chicopee, Michael Leone and his wife, Cheryl, of Connecticut and Alan Leone of Belchertown; his several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his two dear brothers, Henry LeBlanc of South Hadley and Louis LeBlanc of Maryland; his dear sister-in-law, Sandra LeBlanc-Casino of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the LeBlanc, Leone and Kreuzer families. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his two dear brothers, Leonard LeBlanc and Ronald LeBlanc; and his two dear sisters, Eva Conley Daviau and Diane LeBlanc. His family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., which will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal with United States Navy Military Honors on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
