Mr. Warren J. Kappeler, a resident of Andover since 1971 and beloved husband of Elke (Janssen) passed away suddenly at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Wednesday evening, February 22, 2017. He was 83 years old.
Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on May 13, 1933, he was the beloved son of the late John D. and Lillian G. (Rogers) Kappeler. Warren was a graduate of St. Lawrence University in New York and had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Kappeler worked as a manufacturing manager and in real estate. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Elke and gardening around his home. He was a genuinely nice man with a hearty laugh and forever optimistic. Nobody he ever met was a stranger. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his loving children; Kim Kappeler Daniel and her husband Ronald Lee Daniel of Brownsboro, Alabama and Mark W. Kappeler of Andover, sister; Muriel Jackson of Texas, grandchildren; Taylor J. Daniel and Leigh Ann Daniel and several nieces and nephews. His funeral services will be privately held.
