Paul J. Sullivan, age 80, formerly of Forest Hills, Jamaica Plain, passed away at Belmont Manor Nursing Center on February 20, 2017. Beloved son of the late John J. and Elizabeth (Morley) Sullivan. Long time employee of Suffolk Superior Civil Court Boston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Church 97 South St. Jamaica Plain on Friday February 24 at 10 am. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
Paul was born and raised in Jamaica Plain, he was the only child of the late John Sullivan, who was head custodian of the Boston Public Schools and Elizabeth Morley Sullivan, who worked as a secretary for a local law firm. Paul attended St. Andrew the Apostle School, Washington Irving Middle School and Roslindale High School, from which he graduated in 1955. Paul went on to work for the Suffolk Superior Civil Court for nearly 50 years as a file clerk. In his retirement, Paul had enjoyed exercising, particularly walking. He also liked music and traveling, especially to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and York, Maine. Paul had been a bachelor all his life and said he preferred it that way. A lover of theatre, he belonged to the North Shore Music Theater as well as the South Shore Music Circus. | ||||
