Mozella Alexander Perkins Obituary - Water Valley MS

Mozella Perkins, age 85, passed away at her home in Water Valley, MS on Monday, February 21, 2017. She was born June 7, 1931 in Water Valley to the late Robert Patton Alexander and Edith Suzanne Smith Alexander and spent most of her life in the Yalobusha county area. She had been employed as a cafeteria worker at Borg-Warner and enjoyed spending her time taking care of her beautiful flowers in her yard. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Water Valley.

Funeral services are planned for Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Water Valley with Rev. Harold Spraberry officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time. Burial will be in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens with Willie Pullen, Jerry Perkins, Eddie Perkins, Mike Williamson, Pat Williamson, and Clay Ashford serving as pallbearers. Perry Myrick and Creed Massey will serve as honorary pallbearers along with the Elders and Deacons of First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Perkins of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Martha J. Davis of Water Valley and Wilma Warren of Huntsville, AL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Perkins; a son, Robert "Robin" Perkins; a sister, Naomi Alexander; and two brothers, John Alexander and William "Bud" Alexander.
