Allie Bertha Sayles Obituary - Water Valley MS

Allie Bertha Sayles, age 87, died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. She was born in Yalobusha county to the late Will Gooch and Syvilla Carr Gooch and worked many years at Holley Carburetor as a Test Stand operator. Mrs. Sayles was a member of the Martin Street Church of Christ in Water Valley, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and being in church whenever there was an opportunity.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12 noon in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dexter Ross and Bro. Walter Williams officiating. A visitation is planned for Friday evening from 4 until 6 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Martin Street Church of Christ Cemetery in Water Valley.

She is survived by three daughters, Bertha "Patti" Joy of Water Valley, Mary Phillips of Water Valley, and Sherri Sayles of Southaven, MS; two sons, Benny (Linda) Sayles of Water Valley, and Terry (Towanda) Sayles of Bruce, MS; one brother, Herman Gooch of Water Valley, twenty five grandchildren; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sayles was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Sayles; a daughter, Annie Faye Phillips; a son, Willie Sayles; two sisters; five brothers; and one grandchild.
