Evelyn C. Resch, 90, of Winsor Avenue, Johnston, passed February 18th. She was the wife of Joseph B. Resch, Jr. They were married for 39 years.
Born in Providence, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Burghardt. She had lived in Johnston for 60 years previously living in Providence.
Besides her husband she leaves her sons, Wayne J. Forrest and his wife Kathleen of Rumford; Robert J. Forrest and his wife Sherianne of West Warwick and Brian C. Forrest of Johnston and his fiancé Katie Ferrara of Plainville, MA. Evelyn also had two grandchildren, Michael Forrest and Paige Forrest both of Johnston. She was the sister of the late John Burghardt, Elsie Boucher and Thomas Burghardt. She was the wife of the late James W. Forrest. Evelyn was stepmother to Joseph (Jay) Resch III of East Greenwich and Pamela Tarbell of Concord, NH.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Monday 4-7pm
