Mark D. Margerum, age 51, of Mansfield passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Nancy S. (King) Margerum, to who he was for the past twenty-two years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 10, 1965, he was a loving son of David and Gerrie (Dixon) Margerum of Nashua, NH.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted son Aaron D. Margerum of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Karen Margerum Garner of Nashua, NH, the “funny uncle Mark” of Ryan, Jordan and Lauren Garner, and is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Mark grew up and was educated in Levittown, PA and was a 1983 graduate of Dobson High School in Mesa, AZ. He furthered his studies, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Mark had worked as a Merchandising Sales Representative at Acosta Sales & Marketing in Marlboro for six and a half years and was previously employed for thirteen years at SourceCorp in Norwood.

A resident of Mansfield for the past twenty years, he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. When not spending time with his adoring family, Mark’s passion in life was golf. For fifteen years he volunteered as a walker scorer at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton, and also volunteered his assistance for the CVS Charity Classic in Bristol, RI and for the Miracle League of Massachusetts.

His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, February 24th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 23rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Mark’s family would prefer that donations in his memory be made to the Miracle League of Massachusetts, P.O. Box 524, Acton, MA 01720.
