Obituary

COLELLA RoseMarie (Comperchio), a resident of The Village of Duxbury and former resident of Mashpee and Roslindale, died Friday the 10th of February, 2017 at her home surrounded by her husband and loving family. 

Born in 1932 in the North End of Boston MA, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Vito and Josephine Comperchio. She was supportive to family and friends. Her wonderful smile  could light up a room for everyone she met.  

Rosemarie had a full life. Her family, friends, good food and socializing kept her extremely busy. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Romeo and her sisters. She spent her retirement winters in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

She worked in several positions in her career. Her most recent  as Administrative Assistant to the Director of  Nursing at Dana–Farber Cancer Institute, Boston for over twenty years, until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband Romeo of 30 years; her son James Baracewicz of Weymouth, daughter Diane Murphy and her husband Ted of Pembroke, son Anthony Baracewicz and his wife Ilyn of Swampscott, son John Baracewicz and his wife Saundra of Danvers, daughter Andrea Conway and her husband Robert of Duxbury, son-in-law Stephen Matulis of Needham; seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and countless relatives and friends that brought great joy to her life.. She is also survived by her four siblings; Joseph Comperchio of Palm Bay, Florida, Theresa Reppucci, Boston, Barbara Forziati Kalkanajian, Peabody, Janice Chumsae, Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Jacob Baracewicz and her daughter, Dr. Cheryl Matulis.

Visitation in the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday, Feb. 17th from 9:00-10:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, West Roxbury at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Rosemarie requested that in lieu of flowers a memorial gift may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cir, Plymouth, MA 02360.
