Amy Ruth Brown, age 73, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born October 8, 1942 to the late Robert Lawrence and Pauline Carter Anderson and lived in the Water Valley area most of her life. She took pleasure in gardening and flowers, and her favorites were violets. She was a representative for Avon Cosmetics and she retired from Holley Carburetor after many years of service there. Amy was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Water Valley.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Virgil Nelson and Bro. Keith Burney officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery of Water Valley with Daniel Busby, Danny Busby, Drew Melton, Drake Melton, Brandon Baggett, and Bill Henry serving as pallbearers. William Van White will serve as honorary pallbearer. Amy is survived by two sons, Robert Michael Johnson and Francis Kenneth Denham (Paula); and one sister, Mary Lois Landreth, all of Water Valley, MS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Stewart. | ||||
