Obituary

WORCESTER- Azadoohi (Haroutunian) Garabedian, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 1 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband, Vartevar G. Garabedian died in 1995. She leaves three sons, Garabed and his wife, Joanne Garabedian of Worcester, Varoojan Garabedian of Shrewsbury, Haroot Garabedian of Worcester; two daughters, Zenont and her husband, Nabeel Esa of Worcester and Selva Garabedian of Worcester; four grandchildren, Bassam and his wife Nada Esa of Worcester, Fadi Esa of Worcester, Atheer Esa of Shrewsbury and Matthew Garabedian of Worcester; a great-granddaughter, Katia Esa of Worcester; a sister and nieces and nephews. Her son, Aram Garabedian died in 2015. She was born in Baghdad, Iraq daughter of Ohannes and Rebecca (Bohos) Haroutunian and came to America in 1979.

Azadoohi loved spending time with her family and cooking them traditional Armenian dishes. She was proud of her Armenian heritage, but was an American citizen and enjoyed her freedom living in the United States. She was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church.

A Private Funeral will be held in the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church. Arrangements in the care of CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
