Obituary

ANTON, Christ P. 99, of Weston, passed away peacefully January 21, 2017 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen; as well as his sons and their wives, John and Anna of Dover, and Peter and Elena of Medfield. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Christopher and his wife Christine, Marianna, Jennifer, Jonathan, Alexandra and Michaela; his great-grandson Calvin; his brother-in-law Harry Athanas of Plainville, NY, his sister-in-law Helen Anton of Tampa, Fl. as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Dr. John P. Anton of Tampa, Fl, and his sisters Betty and Mary of New York.  Christ was a veteran of World War II, European Theater. He was the founder of Johnson’s Food Products in Boston, MA, as well as a charter founder of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Weston. He was also a member of the Joseph Webb Masonic Lodge in Boston. Christ was loved by all who knew him.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Monday, Jan. 30 at 10am followed by a Funeral Service in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown St., Weston at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2-6pm. Interment in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of his name can be made to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, or Peoplefirst Homecare and Hospice of Auburndale.
