Obituary

James M. Linton, 75, of Ashland, MA ,formerly of Natick, MA, peacefully passed away on Sunday January 22nd at his home in Ashland, MA surrounded by his wife and two daughters.

He is survived by his wife Mary A. (McMahon) Linton, his daughters, Theresa L. Connors and her husband, John F. Connors of Marlborough, MA and Wendie L. Martin and her husband, Chris M. Martin of Bellingham, MA. He was a beloved “Gagi” of five grandchildren: Kylie Reese, Erin Elizabeth, and Mollie Alice Martin, and Riley Thomas and Sean Elliott Connors. He is also survived by five siblings, Robert P. Linton and his wife, Patricia of Bridgeton, ME; Karen A. Lamanuzzi and her husband Leonard of Amesbury, MA; Thomas D. Linton and his wife, Sandra of Natick, MA; Kevin Linton of Natick, MA and Kathleen Daly and her husband Timothy of Wayland, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends, especially his neighbors of Adams Road.

After graduating Natick High School in 1959, followed by five years in the United States Air Force, as a Military Air Policeman, he became a much loved police officer for the Town of Natick. He retired after 40 years of service, only to return for another nine years as a Parking Enforcement Officer for downtown Natick.

Any free time he had was spent playing with his five grandchildren. He was a silly “Gagi”, always up for playing with the “grandies” and completely devoted to his family. He was an avid golfer, scoring a Hole in One at Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club. He loved all sports, but especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He was a passionate animal lover, who adored his golden retrievers, Charlie and George.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Monday January 30 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Interment with Military Honors in St. Patrick Cemetery.
