Virgia Mae Campbell Suggs Obituary - Water Valley MS

Virgia Mae Campbell Suggs, age 68, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. She was born December 21,1948 to the late George Watson Campbell and Margarette Rogers. Virgia worked at Big Yank of Water Valley and later was a direct care provider at the North MS Regional Center in Oxford, MS. She was a member of Everdale Baptist Church of Water Valley and a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, fishing and shopping.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Sammy Townes, Rev. Mitchell Steen, and Pastor Deona Benson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley.

Virgia is survived by her daughter, Cautina Campbell of Water Valley, MS; her son, Fitzgerald Campbell of Water Valley, MS; six sisters, Mattie (Eli) Moore of Lexa, AR, Brenda (Rudy) Tellis, Linda Campbell, Ruby Campbell, Patricia Campbell and Janeth Neely all of Water Valley, MS; three brothers, Harry (Margaret) Campbell of Tallahassee, FL, Johnny (Ruby) Campbell of Little Rock, AR, and James (Pearl) Campbell of Water Valley, MS; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Annie Pearl Joiner of Water Valley, MS.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny C. Suggs; two sisters, Shirley Rogers and Juanita Fondon; and one brother, Bobby Campbell.
