Linda S. (Penza) Cheetham, age 61, a thirty-eight year resident of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her daughters home in Portsmouth, NH on Friday, December 30, 2016.
Born in Ballston Spa, New York on June 18, 1955, she was a loving daughter of the late Gale Penza, Sr. and Marsha (Moore) Moeller.
Linda grew up and was educated in Ballston Spa. In 1976, she received her degree as an LPN in Saratoga, New York, and later her degree as an RN at Bristol Community College.
Linda’s nursing career was one that spanned forty years. She had most recently been employed for three years as a Registered Nurse at Amedisys in Fall River and had previously worked for the VNA in Attleboro for twenty years.
Linda was a God fearing woman who had a close relation with the Lord. She was committed to her profession and simply adored her patients. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was especially proud of her twin grandsons who serve our country in the United States Marine Corps.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children Amee G. Dube and her husband Jamie of Dover, NH, Sara E. Renshaw of Norton, Jessica L. Johnson and her husband Rob of Portsmouth, NH and Matthew L. Higgins of Norton. She was the dear sister of Gale Penza, Jr. of New York and Jeffrey Barnes, James Barnes and Cliff Barnes all of North Carolina. She was the cherished grandmother of Samantha, Claudia, Jonathan, Justin, Kaylee, Domenick, Joseph and Khloe, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
