Theresa P. (Aries) Carr, 76, formerly of Natick died December 7, in her Acton home surrounded by family.
Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Irene (Whelan) Aries. She was a member of the Class of 1958 at Our Lady of the Presentation Academy in Brighton. She held many positions in administration throughout her life. Theresa last worked at the Natick Senior Center as an administrative assistant for 12 years.
Theresa enjoyed the sounds and smell of the ocean, whether the Maine coast-- especially Goose Rocks Beach, Kennebunkport and Biddeford Pool, or Cape Cod. She loved collecting sand dollars, enjoyed antiquing and attended the Boston Flower Show every year. Family was extremely important to Theresa and she lived for her grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and had several over the years, most recently her beloved Lucy.
Theresa is survived by her four children, Judith Romatelli of Acton, Stephen Carr and his wife Ann Marie of Longmont, CO, Robert Carr and his wife Kim of Walnut Creek, CA, Theresa Carr and her husband Edward Hansen of Arlington, and her seven grandchildren, Isabella, Marguerite, Mackenzie, Zachary, Dean, Marina and Tabitha. She was the sister of Michael Aries, Geraldine Brown, and the late Eileen Janiak, her former husband and long time friend Robert Carr and beloved Auntie to her nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Sunday between 4:00 and 7:00 PM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa’s Funeral Mass on Monday, December 12th at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street Natick.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Natick Senior Center, 117 East Central Street immediately following the service from 11-1.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Theresa Carr may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital in support of Dr. Anna Farago’s lung cancer research.
