Cynthia A. (Conroy) Leston, age 70, of Mansfield passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, November 26, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Peter M. Leston, whom she recently celebrated fifty-years of marriage on May 14th.

Born in Roslindale, MA on May 9, 1946, she was a loving daughter of Ruth C. (Courtemanche) Conroy formerly of Walpole and the late John J. Conroy,

Cindy grew up in Walpole, was a 1964 graduate of Walpole High School and a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church in East Walpole.

A resident of Mansfield for the past 48 years, Mrs. Leston had been employed in the billing department at Hines Dermatology in Attleboro and at Norwood Hospital.

Cindy was a kind, beautiful and caring person whose life was inspired by her adoring family and singing. She sang as a longtime member of the Sweet Adelines International, as a member of the Coastline Show Chorus in Attleboro and as a former member of Harmony Incorporated in Easton.

Cindy’s family was the focal point of her life, especially her grandchildren. Along with her husband she was a worldwide traveler whose favorite point of destination was Disney World in Florida with her family. Her other passions including hosting the holidays at her home in Mansfield.

Cindy’s life was well lived. She will always be remembered for her loving heart, beautiful smile and generous soul.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her loving and devoted children Terri M. Javery and her husband John of Norton, Lisa M. Giroux and her husband Don of Bedford, NH and Tom S. Leston and his wife Regan of Norton. She was the dear sister of Karen Conroy of Baldwinville, the cherished grandmother of Lindsey Javery, Taylor Javery, Abigail Javery, Matthew Giroux, Jonathan Giroux and Julia Giroux, and is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Cynthia’s family would prefer that donations in her memory be made to the Coastline Show Chorus, 88 Meeting St., Providence, RI 02906
