Michael R. Dupree, 67

Dateline: Cranston, Rhode Island

Michael R. Dupree, age 67, of Cranston, RI, formerly of Mansfield, Norton and Rehoboth, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Sunday, November 13, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Crone) Dupree, to whom he was wed on July 27, 2012.

Born in Taunton, MA on May 6, 1949, he was a loving son of Gloria M. (Galanti) Dupree of Mansfield and the late Vincent P. Dupree.

Mike grew up in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran having proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the time of the Vietnam War.

For the majority of his working career, he was a self-employed HVAC and will always be remembered for his diligent work ethics.

Mike had made his home in Cranston for the past five years. His hobbies included fly-fishing, hunting, making homemade wine, smoking his pipe, but most of all spending time with family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons in Florida. He was the dear brother of Kenneth W. Dupree and his wife Cheryll of North Attleboro and the late Cheryl J. Wolfe, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Committal services with U.S. Naval honors will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 11:00 A.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Michael with a donation in his memory made to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
