Obituary

William Curtis Stinchcomb, 90, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, October 24, 2016, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2016, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Stinchcomb was born March 8, 1926, in Experiment, Georgia, to the late William Calvin & Alice Pirkle Stinchcomb. He worked at a fish hatchery, worked in construction laying carpet and tile, worked at the cotton mill, worked at the shipyard and was also a truck driver. He will be remembered in Fitzgerald as a peddler of fruit. Mr. Stinchcomb enjoyed cooking, fishing and tinkering with lawnmowers. Mr. Stinchcomb served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by eight children; two stepchildren; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives; one brother and four sisters.
