Shirley Sanders Schmitz, age 76, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born February 6, 1940 in the Pine Valley Community of Yalobusha County, MS to the late Ivan and Christine Hunt Sanders. Shirley was retired from Heat Craft, Inc. in Grenada, MS and a member of Water Valley Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Schmitz of Water Valley, MS; her daughter, Donna (Tony) Beshires of Water Valley, MS; her son, Mitchell (Cindy) Schmitz of Brookhaven, MS; two sisters, Betty (Jay) Griffin of Water Valley, MS and Melba Warren of Memphis, TN; her brother, Danny (Teresa) Sanders of Mantachie, MS; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Sanders and Richard Sanders. A memorial service will be held at a later date. | ||||
