Obituary

Worcester- Sarah Nadjarian, 66, after a courageously fought illness, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8th at St. Vincent Hospital with her dear friend, Haroutune Kasparian by her side.

Sarah was born in Worcester on April 15, 1950 daughter to the late Krikor Barsamian and Mary (Der Terosian) Haroyan. She was a graduate of South High School. For many years she worked at the former Worcester City Hospital in the Payroll Department. She and her husband Paul moved to Montreal in 1987 for his work.

Sarah returned to Worcester in 2000 upon the death of her husband.

She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. She was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, having sung in the church choir. In her youth she was active in the Armenian Church youth group.

Sarah is survived by a brother, Roger Haroyan of Worcester; aunt, Alice Sagherian of Whitinsville; nieces and several dear cousins. Sarah was also close with her friend Haroutune’s family. Her dog, Lucky Angel will especially miss her.

Sarah was predeceased by a brother, George Haroyan.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 13th at 11:00am in Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester. A visiting hour will precede from 10:00am until the beginning of the service. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
