In Norwood, October 3, 2016 Monika M. (Franz) Slazinik, Age 70, passed away in Golden Living Center following a brief illness. Monika was the wife of the late Edward Slazinik Jr. She was born in Viena, Austria, the daughter of the late Franz J. Marz & Margarita Benishek. Monika was aresident of Taunton the past year and was formerly of Vero Beach, FL. She was educated in Columbia schools and later attended secretarial school in Vero Beach. Monika enjoyed watching television, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family. She leaves her loving children Manuel Fernandez and his wife Luisa of Taunton and Heidi Fernandez of Columbia. She also leaves her grandchildren Nicholas Fernandez and Daniella Fernandez of Taunton. Funeral services are being handled by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, Ma Services are private at the request of the family.
