M. Ward Bailey, 55, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Robert Couey officiating.
Mr. Bailey was born November 13, 1960, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Carolyn Ward Connor and the late David Earl Bailey. He attended Tift County High School. A long time resident of Tifton, Georgia, Mr. Bailey was residing in Fitzgerald and was a caregiver for his mother, Carolyn. He enjoyed NASCAR and following his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his mother: Carolyn Connor of Fitzgerald; two brothers and their spouses: Dave “Chip” Bailey & Beth of Norfolk, Virginia and Arthur Luke Bailey & Alex of New Freedom, Pennsylvania; two aunts: Francine & Lee Liles of Fitzgerald and Elaine Hallum of Jackson, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father: David Earl Bailey.
