Kelly, John J. Jr. L/CPL (Ret.) USMC, Recipient of the Purple Heart, of Hyde Park formerly of Jamaica Plain, died peacefully on Sept. 11, 2016. Beloved husband for over 40 years to Jacqueline “Candy” (Rohlfing) Kelly. Devoted son of the late John J. Kelly and the late Mary M. (MacNeil) Kelly. Loving brother of Michael Kelly of West Roxbury, Stanley Kelly of Avon, James Kelly of Stoughton, Margaret “Peggy” Mitchell of Las Cruces, NM., Julia Kuhn of Stoughton, Gail Faria of Stoughton, Daniel Kelly of Norwood, and the Late Joseph MacNeil, Patrick Kelly, Catharine Lee, Flora Scanlan and Bridget Kelly. Brother- in-law of James McCormack of Madrid, Spain, Joanne MacCormack of Panama City, FL, Robert Rohlfing of West Roxbury, Alyce Rohlfing of Roslindale, George Rohlfing of Quincy, and the late Roy Rohlfing. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Saturday morning September 17th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Friday 4pm – 8pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
