Fannie E. “Betty” Mixon, 99, died Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, August 29, 2016, at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County with the Rev. Andy Kemp officiating.
Mrs. Mixon was born September 9, 1916, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Charlie W. & Letha Charlotte Tucker DeBerry. She was a lifelong resident of Irwin County and was a homemaker. She attended Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie & Billy Roberts of Ocilla; grandchildren and their spouses: Elizabeth Catherine “Beth” Anderson & Andy of St. Augustine, Florida, John L. “Rusty” Koerts & Karen of Atlanta, and Chad Roberts of Atlanta; great-grandchildren: Coogan Koerts, Hannah Koerts, Emily Roberts, and Noah Roberts. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hollis Mixon as well as 11 brothers and sisters.
