Christopher J. Cullen, age 50, of Mansfield, passed away, unexpectedly of a heart attack, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Morrell) Cullen, to whom he was wed on October 21, 1995.

Born in Springfield, MA on August 8, 1966, he was a loving son of George M. and Mary E. (Borselli) Cullen of Hampden, MA.

A former longtime resident of Hampden, Chris grew up in Hampden and was a 1988 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School. He furthered his studies, graduating in 1988 from Stonehill College with a Bachelors Degree in Finance and later received his MBA at Suffolk University.

Chris had worked as a Human Resources Director and accomplished over 25 years of experience in that field. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 18 years and formerly resided in Easton and Foxboro.

Chris loved spending time with his family, which included coaching his son’s flag football and baseball teams and faithfully attending his track meets. Along with his family, he attended St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and was a true fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his cherished and devoted son Fredrick C. Cullen of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Erin E. Cullen of Phoenix, AZ, the adoring uncle of Bridget Marlowe, and is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
