Debra L. Robinson Obituary - Water Valley MS

Debra Lucille Robinson, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born February 6, 1953 in Water Valley, MS to the late Percy and Mattie Williams Robinson. Debra adored children and over the years babysat most of the children in Water Valley. She was also a retired caregiver for the North MS Regional Center in Oxford. Debra loved her family, her church, serving the Lord and listening to gospel music.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at Sanders Chapel Church in Water Valley with Pastor Mitchell Steen officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley with Donald Davidson, Ken Folson, Ronald Burgess, Mario Weekley, DeMetric Weekley, Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Robinson, Mose Robinson, Dwight Brown and Anthony Robinson serving as pallbearers. Anthony D. Robinson, Quarterious Robinson, Jaylan Murphy, Nathaniel Murphy, Jon Kevin Shipp, Aiden Cole Pritchard, Emmanuel Crowder and Christopher Burgess will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Debra is survived by her special friend, George Ramsey of Como, MS; her daughter, Yalonda (Mike) Ramsey of Water Valley; her son, Anthony (Ruby) Robinson of Tulsa, OK; her sisters, Ladelle Robinson, Ruth (James) Weekley, Valerie (Dwight) Burgess all of Water Valley, Rose (Albert) Willingham of Oxford, and Mattie Davidson of Water Valley; her brother, Anthony (Elaine) Robinson of Water Valley; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ramsey; her sister, Kim Robinson; and her brothers, Ronald Robinson and James Robinson.
