Kerin K. (Souza) Copparini, age 42, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away surrounded by the embracing love of her family, on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved and adored wife of Steven M. Copparini.

Born in Wiesbaden, Germany on September 26, 1973, she was a loving and cherished daughter of Jack and Carole A. (Cataloni) Souza.

Kerin grew up and was educated in Mansfield. She was a 1991 graduate of Mansfield High School where she excelled in field hockey and served as a co-captain of her team. While in high school she also played on the basketball team. As an adult she continued her love of sports, playing field hockey on the Wednesday Morning Field Hockey League in Norfolk.

Kerin’s greatest passion and joy in life was her family. She was a dedicated homemaker and outstanding mother to her children and wife to her husband. She and her family, which included her parents and siblings, loved doing everything together, which included spending time together on Cape Cod.

Kerin was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield where she had the pleasure of marrying Steven, the love of her life, on June 20, 1997.

In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her loving and devoted children McKani A, Copparini and Braedon J. Copparini both of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Keeley J. Maxcy and her husband Adam of North Attleboro and Kara D. Colby and her husband Chris of Mansfield. She was the loving daughter in law of Paul Copparini and Marlene of Mansfield and the late Sandra DeVaux. She was the sister in law of Michael Copparini, and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, August 19th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 18th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
