Mary A. (Willis) Brownell, age 83, of Raynham, formerly of Mansfield passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich.

She was the beloved wife of Arthur D. Brownell, Sr. to whom she was wed for the past 51 years. She was also the wife of the late Henry Davis.

Born in Boston, MA on February 15, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Regina Willis.

Mary grew up in the South End of Boston and was a graduate of Girls High School. She furthered her education, receiving an Associates Degree from the Bentley Business School.

Mary was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and when younger had worked for Liberty Mutual. She made her home in Raynham for the past year and a half and formerly resided in Mansfield for forty years.

Mary’s favorite times were those spent in the company of her loving family and at the time her death was anticipating the birth of her fifth great grandchild. Her hobbies included knitting, reading and spending time grooming and playing with her kitty cat.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children Donna Wilbur and her husband James of Easton, John Davis and his wife Donna of Lowell, Debra Davis of Attleboro, Arthur Brownell, Jr. and his wife Laura of Attleboro, and the late Paul Davis and Robert Davis. She is also survived by her cherished 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of her life to be held at the American Legion, 291 Mill St. in Raynham on Sunday, September 4th from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.

Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Mary with a donation in her memory to the ASPCA, 2435 Goodwin Lane, New Braunfels, TX 78135.
