In Boston, August 5, 2016 Carole A. (Menoche) Chargin daughter of the late George and Josephine (Turski) Menoche died at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital at the age of 77. Born in Taunton, Carole was of South Yarmouth and formerly of Raynham and Taunton. Carole was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1956 and she received her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Bridgewater State College. She was a retired school teacher for the Norton Public Schools for forty years. Carole belonged to the National Education Association, the Massachusetts Education Association, the Norton Teachers Assoc and the Bristol County Teachers Assoc where she was a member of the Board. She also belonged to the Red Hat Assoc. She was a member of the Bristol County Savings Bank’s Prime Time Travel Club. She was a Communicant of St Pius Catholic Church in South Yarmouth. Carole loved to travel and visited Aruba thirteen times. She enjoyed painting and was an accomplished piano player. She loved all animals especially her cat and dog and the many birds that visited her yard. She loved Cape Cod where she made her home after retirement. She enjoyed teaching and loved the children who were assigned to her. Carole was the mother of Michael Joseph Chargin of Maine formerly of Raynham. Grandmother of Michael James Chargin, Marc T. Chargin and Mitchell T. Chargin. Sister of the late Jerry Menoche. Former wife of the late Paul Chargin. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday, August 12th at 9:30 AM. A Mass will be held at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10:30 AM. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
