It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Rita (McKenna) Lima of Taunton, a longtime resident of Taunton, who past at Morton Hospital on August 6th after a long illness. Born in Taunton on November 12, 1936, daughter of the late John and Rosanna (Henault) McKenna. She was a former employee at Car-Cross Industries and Copper Craft Guild. She was a proud member of the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary. She was a loving wife of the late John Lima and mother to Jay Lima, Jeffrey Lima and Dawn Marie Lima whom she now joins in eternal rest. She is survived by her sons Michael Mello, Edward Mello Jr., Richard Mello, David Mello and her loving sister Anne Marie Kuper. She is the loving grandmother to Justice Lima, Jason Lima, Arianna Lima, Nicholas Lima, Jared Lima, Christopher Mello, Jessica Mello, Richard Mello, Junior and Tammy Mello as well as six loving great grandchildren. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, August 10th at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or a charity of one’s choice.
