West Boylston — Richard “Dickie” Boynton, 85, passed away on Monday, July 18th at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Richard was born in Worcester the son of Elbert H. and Anna E. (Muzzy) Boynton and lived in West Boylston his whole life. He graduated from Major Edwards High School. Dickie worked in the maintenance department at ITT Suprenant for many years.
Dickie loved to walk and ride the bus and would often take the train in to Boston to catch some Red Sox games. He was a huge New England sports fan.
Dickie will be missed by the many friends he leaves behind in West Boylston, Worcester and Boston.
A visiting hour will be held on Friday, July 22nd from 10-11am followed by a prayer service at 11am in FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
