WORCESTER: Donald Wayne Bergstrom, 74, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at UMass Memorial-University Campus, after a long illness..
He leaves his wife of 26 years, Lois M. (McCaw) Bergstrom; a son, Dean K. Bergstrom and his fiancée Brenda Bombard of Worcester; two daughters, Traci K. Topalis and her husband John of Millis, Dawn Vanderford of Falmouth; nine grandchildren, Kelley, Lucas, Alex, Nikole, Garrett, Morgan, Devin, Logan and Janelle; two great grandchildren, Juliano and Leilani.
He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late George N. and Ruth A. (Hill) Bergstrom and was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Donald worked as a carpenter in the construction industry for many years.
CALLING HOURS are 5 to 7 P.M. on SUNDAY, JULY 10 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Cape Cod.
