Charles E. “Chuck” Bayliss, II, age 58, of Mansfield, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge. He was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl A. (Bostic) Bayliss, to whom he was wed for 26 years at the time of her recent death on November 13, 2015.
Born in Hartford, CT on October 4, 1957, he was a loving son of the late Frederick W. and Nancy P. (Proctor) Bayliss.
Chuck grew up in Avon, CT and was a graduate of the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT. He furthered his studies, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College.
For nearly twenty years, Mr. Bayliss worked as a salesman at Eastern Industrial Automation in Waltham. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 27 years and along with his family, had attended St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Chuck’s favorite times spent were those in the presence of his adoring family. He especially enjoyed family vacations at Old Orchard Beach in Maine and participating in Civil War reenactments.
He is survived by his loving and devoted children Matthew F. Bayliss, Joshua E. Bayliss and Rachel M. Bayliss all of Mansfield. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 3nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, June 30th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
Prayer services, followed by burial will be held on Friday, July 1st at 1:00 P.M. at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., in Hartford, CT.
