Iva Lee Denney Waldo, age 71, of Coffeeville, MS died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born December 4, 1944 in Shelby, MS to the late James Fred and Mallie Martin Denney. Iva Lee was of Baptist faith and worked as a seamstress for Kellwood Corporation. She enjoyed scrap booking, quilting, crafts and spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Craig Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Elam Cemetery in Yalobusha County, with Jason Adams, Jonathan Denney, Terry Denney, Sr., Terry Denney, Jr., Shawn Hughes and Arthur Thomas serving as pallbearers. Iva Lee is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Denise) Waldo of Mercer, TN; her sons, James (Vanessa) Waldo of Summerville, SC and Cliff (Jennifer) Waldo of Coffeeville, MS; her sister, Sandra Kaye Denney Waldo of Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren, Grady Carter, Sandy Carter Hutchens, Hanna Waldo, Cindy Goodwin, Laura Lee Goodwin, Austin Waldo and Drake Waldo-Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Trista Martin and Ava Hutchens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Auston Waldo; her daughter, Debra Anne Waldo Carter; her sister, Donna Gay Vickers; her brother, John Alton Denney; and her great-grandson, Jaxon Hutchens. | ||||
