LEICESTER. Beatrice C. (Masaitis) Greenway 92, formerly of Henshaw St., died Saturday, April 16th in New Hudson, MI.
She was the wife of Christopher Greenway who died in 1993. She leaves her son William C. Greenway and his wife Joy of South Lyon, MI with whom she lived; three grandchildren Ariel, Ann and Christopher Greenway; her sister Dolores Fairbanks of Leicester; her niece Sharon (Kurt) Parliament of Leicester; and a nephew Christopher Richards of Laconia, NH. She is predeceased by a sister Adeline Nist.
Born in Leicester, She was the daughter of Charles and Anastasia (Skarinskas) Masaitis. Bea was an office clerk at Millbrook Distributors of Worcester and Leicester, a factory worker at MKM in Worcester and at North American Rockwell in Buffalo, NY, during WW II, before retiring. She was a long time member of the former Federated Church in Leicester.
She was Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Pack 126 in Leicester; and a member of Leicester Women's Association for many years. She was recognized for her volunteer work. Bea loved her home, her garden, her family, and loved to work with her hands.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22 at 11 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
