Obituary

WORCESTER-Judith M. (Booth) Mungovan, 74, of Worcester passed away Friday, April 15 surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health at St. Vincent Hospital.

She leaves her husband of 55 years, John M. Mungovan; five children, Noreen M. Barton and her husband, David of Worcester, Kelly A. Curtis of Worcester (who has been her primary care giver for the last 10 years) John M. Mungovan, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Millbury, Deidre J. Robinson of Worcester and Daniel P. Mungovan and his companion, Gina M. Andros of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Derek, Jared, Kelly, Robin, Carla, Lauren, Samantha, Eric and Kristina; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Alivia; two sisters, Elizabeth LeBlanc and her husband, Joseph of Thompson, CT and Linda Cassella and her husband, Richard of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Harry, Edward and Robert predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Margaret (Fitzpatrick) Booth and attended Commerce High School.
Judy worked at the former Caldors in Worcester and Auburn for many years, before retiring. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy enjoyed summering at her trailer along the Canal in Bourne with family. She loved playing bingo and was an expert shopper, who couldn’t resist a bargain. She was the glue of the family and will be sadly missed.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the nursing staff at St Vincent ICU and 34N for their care and compassion.

A Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 19 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10am in Our Lady of Providence Church, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, April 18 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
